Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program
AMVETS is launching Homeless Veterans Reintegration Programs in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Phoenix, Arizona, to address the multifaceted, complex issue of veteran homelessness.

AMVETS’ program offers comprehensive support tailored to each Veteran’s needs.

Services include job training, employment placement, housing assistance, and access to mental health and addiction counseling, aiming to foster long-term stability and reintegration into civilian life. Additionally, AMVETS Service Officers are ready to assist Veterans and family members needing assistance with VA claims.

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS), AMVETS leverages HVRP grants to provide occupational skills training, apprenticeships, and job placement services, building on the Department’s recent $23 million grant initiative for homeless veterans.

Collaborations with local nonprofits in Salt Lake City and Phoenix, alongside government agencies such as the VA and HUD, ensure a robust network of support, addressing housing, healthcare, and employment barriers.

By tackling the root causes of homelessness through coordinated, community-driven efforts, AMVETS aims to empower Veterans to achieve sustainable independence in these two cities.
